Finally registered for Audioscrobbler…

So, I finally bothered to register for Audioscrobbler, where I also show up as an artist.  Now, I know what you’re thinking - he only registered so he can listen to his own shit and inflate his stats.  But that would be a tad obvious, for one, and I also simply have an interest in seeing what I listen to and how it compares to others and what not.  It’s a cool concept and seems to work well enough.  I’m a little concerned that I’ll listen to something that would be embarassing and serve as excellent blackmail material when I run for president of the universe, etc., but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.  I’m still fluxing around with the Magpie PHP RSS parser, making the feeds I read most frequently, as well as my personal feeds, on one big list.  There’s been an OverClocked ReMix Audioscrobbler group around for awhile, which I also joined.  Gotta think of some way to feature a link to that group on the actual site, as it’d be cool if it gained a bit more acceptance…

It’s rather sad. According to Scrobble, I listen to more of my music than anyone else in the known world.

I blame it on the left wing media.

    What, all five of them?

Actually, seem to be having some connectivity problems… as in it wouldn’t update for several hours last night. All better this morning, but I wonder if they have issues like this on a regular basis…

The actual site itself or your personal page? I’ve had problems connecting to the actual site at times. Usually, the plugin works fine, but I find that sometimes, no matter how well tagged a certain file is, Scrobble doesn’t recognize it. Meh, minor issues.

That much said, join Anime Remix as well.

Audioscrobbler seems to like being slow or unresponsive to me too. I just hope when it sends the song data to their server it doesn’t eat up my upload rate. =/

I’ve used it for a little while - at least in my case, it updates my most tracks played, artists most played, and weekly stats on Sunday/Monday. Sometimes it won’t connect to the server when uploading the song list because of serverside issues (likely just too many people doing so at once). It may take time, but eventually it should get through (even if you end up closing the player and then opening it again). And it doesn’t take up much of your bandwidth thankfully, so don’t worry about that.

Hahha audioscrobbler’s awesome. Gladdd to see you signed up. I think I remember you saying you listened to “Keane” somewhere in your reviews. I tried listening to them haha didn’t really like them, that one “Bedshaped” song is fine though.

According to the site, I’m your 13th biggest fan haha sweet!
